1. Introduction

Welcome to BID Africa. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating in any auction or using any of our features.

2. Registration and Bidding

• All users must register an account to participate in auctions.
• BID Africa reserves the right to verify your identity before approving registration.
• By placing a bid, you commit to purchasing the item if you are the winning bidder.
• All bids are final and legally binding.

3. Auction Rules

• BID Africa acts as an agent on behalf of sellers unless stated otherwise.
• Items are sold “as is”, and it is the bidder’s responsibility to inspect before bidding.
• We reserve the right to cancel or postpone auctions at our discretion.
• Winning bidders will receive a confirmation via email or SMS after the auction closes.

4. Payments and Invoicing

• Payments must be made within 48 hours of invoice issuance.
• Late payments may result in penalties or cancellation of sale.
• BID Africa accepts EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) to the account specified on the invoice.
• Ownership of the item transfers only once full payment is received.

5. Delivery and Collection

• Buyers are responsible for arranging collection or transport unless otherwise specified.
• We offer delivery options which can be requested during checkout.
• Items must be collected within 7 working days of payment unless arranged otherwise.

6. Returns and Refunds

• No returns or refunds are allowed unless the item was misrepresented in the listing.
• Disputes must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of receiving the item.

7. Limitation of Liability

• BID Africa is not responsible for errors in listings, delays, or technical issues during auctions.
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from use of our platform.

8. Privacy

• We respect your privacy and handle your data in accordance with POPIA and FICA requirements.
• Client information will not be shared with third parties without consent.

9. Changes to Terms

• BID Africa reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
• Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of any updates.
